“Yoga Nidra” translates to “yogic sleep.” Research has demonstrated that yoga nidra practice over time can result in improved sleep quality, and all of the health benefits that can be experienced with good sleep. In this experience, people are invited to lie down in a comfortable position using props/cushions/pillows as desired. Through an eight-stage process, the guide (instructor) will lead a guided meditation using sensory imagery and breathing techniques. In order to best prepare the body for relaxation, light stretching will be led prior to the meditation. Comfortable clothing is encouraged.
